Managing Tasks For Nanna
This month I see my grandma. I enjoy visiting her, even if she has grown a little obstinate in her later years. I won’t embarrass her by divulging her age, but let’s simply say she is a lady with thoroughly seasoned wisdom.
I know her daughter just brought by a litter of baby kittens for entertainment. Of course, her daughter (my aunt) had to tolerate an extensive lecture on raising new kittens. I’m positive my grandma would have liked to keep one or two of the baby kitties, but they are simply too much for her to manage at this point.
I constantly see something bewildering at her place when I see her. Last time, I found many books on penny stocks on her coffee table. My granny learning how to buy penny stocks? That’s bizarre. I wonder what I will encounter on her cocktail table this month.
This year will make for an active sojourn. I have to put in her new Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I additionally need to bring her old pots and pans to charity as she recently purchased a new collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the greatest of all the electic coffee makers. I appreciate it, yet I also must chuckle as she invariably claims to have or use only the greatest of this or that.
If all goes well, she will employ both to serve me some fabulous coffee at dawn and ice cream in the afternoon. That sounds like more than reward enough for my assistance. I am happy to help her out for nothing, but a little robust coffee and tasty ice cream doesn’t hurt.
