My wife and I went to Kauai for our 20th anniversary. We rented a car from Alamo, but used Priceline. We got a great rate. I don’t think you will need a jeep as most of the beaches are right next to highways. You might want a jeep to explore the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, but you can see most of it from the road, and can hike if you want to see it better.
